After painting Orange Tulip, I felt like working on another round canvas. This time, I wanted to make the most of its shape and create a motif that would flow naturally with the circular form. I started thinking about how I could paint another tulip in a way that felt different from my previous one.
Since Pink Lily, I hadn’t painted another pink flower, so I decided to bring pink back into the mix. I also had so much fun adding the pearls and love how they add another dimension to the painting. And this is how Flowing Tulip came to be.
